A tall, thick bodied bridgeman of Bridge Four in The Way of Kings.
Leyten is one of the bridgemen of Bridge Four, a crew that carries assault bridges for Highprince Sadeas's army on the Shattered Plains, in The Way of Kings. He is tall and stout, thick bodied, and loud enough that Rock claims to hear him two plateaus away, which Rock likes about him. Before the bridges he was an apprentice armorsmith, sent to the crews when a piece of armor failed on a lighteyes and his master handed him over as the scapegoat. He is convinced his old master kept a spare apprentice on hand for exactly that purpose.
