A larkin is a rare creature about the size of a palm, built something like a cremling but with wings that fold out of its back, eyes of solid silver, and a snout and mouth reminiscent of an axehound's. What sets it apart is its appetite. A larkin can absorb Stormlight straight out of a person. They were supposed to have died with the scouring of Aimia, and they remain endangered enough that even a larkin corpse brings a fortune in trade.
