Jezrien
Jezrien, called Jezerezeh'Elin, is the king of the Heralds in Vorin belief, embodiment of Protecting and Leading, said to have led humanity through the ancient Desolations of Roshar.
Jezrien is chief among the ten Heralds of Vorinism, the dominant faith of eastern Roshar in the Stormlight Archive, which begins with The Way of Kings. Known in Vorin lands as Jezerezeh'Elin and remembered as the king of the Heralds, he embodies the divine attributes Protecting and Leading, and the faith's symbolism gives him the first of the sacred numbers, the essence of zephyr, and the sapphire. Tradition holds that the Heralds served the Almighty and led humankind through the Desolations of the ancient past; in that story Jezrien stands at the front, the leader of leaders, patron of kings and of all who protect. The histories add a modest detail: it is said that Jezerezeh refused to wear a crown. His statue stands beside those of his fellows in the great cities of the Vorin kingdoms.
