Jah Keved is a Vorin kingdom and the homeland of Shallan Davar, who finds being so far away from it daunting but also wonderful.
Its clothing is familiar enough that some crowds on the Kharbranth docks could pass for its folk, men in trousers and front-laced shirts, women in skirts and bright blouses. Writing there is a feminine art, as in Kharbranth and Alethkar, with men learning only glyphs. Szeth, watching the Alethi feast, fears a world where even towering Jah Keved speaks Alethi to its children.
