Jah Keved

Jah Keved is one of the great Vorin kingdoms of Roshar in the Stormlight Archive. It lies west of Alethkar, its rival and mirror: the two are the largest powers of the storm-swept east, alike in faith and in their lighteyed nobility, and Jah Keved is counted second only to Alethkar in size and armies. Its capital is Vedenar, and its people are the Veden, among them Shallan Davar, whose family holds a minor rural estate in the kingdom. Its territory includes the Horneater Peaks, the high mountain home of the Unkalaki people, and its holy enclave at Valath keeps one of the finest collections of books and scrolls on Roshar. The kingdom also prizes its Shardblades, relic weapons of the ancient past, and is said to hold nearly as many as Alethkar itself.
