What the Shin call everyone who is not Shin, the peoples out east who see the world by the light of highstorms.
Szeth sees them as a strange people who walk on stone without a thought, burn Stormlight for everyday light, ignore the spirits of the things around them and eat whatever they please on any day. Living among them, he begins to wonder how they could avoid treading on stone at all when their lands have no soil. He also notices how ashamed his eastern masters seem of the way they command him, and asks himself why.
