Easterners

Easterner is what the Shin call everyone who is not Shin, the peoples out east who see the world by the light of highstorms. To easterners the Shin look like children, with their large round eyes, shorter stature, and tendency toward baldness. Szeth, held by easterners, notices how ashamed they are of the way they control him, and judges it is less the fear that a rival might steal his Oathstone than terror that a weapon they use this callously could one day be turned against them.
