Makabaki people descended from the Silver Kingdom of Makabakam, the Emuli among their tribes.
The Askarki are ethnically Makabaki, descended from the Silver Kingdom of Makabakam, and the Emuli are one tribe among them. They are dark skinned. Askarki women favor gowns and head-wraps, and the men favor robes. An old friend is greeted by holding the left forefinger to the forehead and bowing in respect. Striking a man personally strikes them as crass, and they wage war in the opposite order from the Alethi: a sword is no weapon for a leader, a halberd serves better, a spear better still, and best of all a bow and arrow.
