Ars Arcanum
The appendix at the back of the Stormlight books, laying out Vorin symbolism for the ten numbers, gemstones, and Essences with their body foci, Soulcasting properties, and Divine Attributes.
The Ars Arcanum is the appendix carried at the back of the Stormlight books, setting out certain magical elements of Roshar. It lists the traditional Vorin symbolism attached to the ten numbers, the ten gemstones, and the ten Essences, along with their body foci, their Soulcasting properties, and their Primary and Secondary Divine Attributes. Bound together, those symbols form the Double Eye of the Almighty, an eye with two pupils standing for the creation of plants and of creatures, which is also the basis for the hourglass shape associated with the Knights Radiant. Ancient scholars set the ten orders of Radiants onto the same list alongside the Heralds, each of whom carried a classical association with one of the numbers and Essences.
