Apothecary

The apothecary keeps a windowless shop in the warcamps on the Shattered Plains, its wooden walls draped with glyphwards styled in cryptic patterns, rows of jars on the shelves behind the counter, a full human skeleton wired together in the far corner, and bundles of garnet spheres hanging from the corners for light. He is short and stooped, with a wispy white beard, spectacles on the tip of his nose, dark robes, and a face full of chasms weaving out from deeply recessed eyes. He shuffles and leans on a cane, though the cane goes aside and his voice loses its whispering rasp the moment a customer turns out to know something about medicine. He will try a bridgeman with inferior goods first, and he haggles hard over bandages, gut, and a needle.
