Septa Ysabel served the Faith of the Seven in the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen. She was one of the Wise Women whom Queen Alyssa Velaryon sent to Dragonstone, with the novices Lyra and Edyth, to press Queen Alysanne Targaryen to set aside her marriage to her brother. When that failed and the king sent seven preachers out to win the smallfolk with words rather than swords, Ysabel walked the realm among them.
