Yohn Royce

Lord Yohn Royce, called Bronze Yohn, is the Lord of Runestone and the head of the main branch of House Royce. He is the father of Andar, Robar and Waymar, and of a daughter, Ysilla. Tall enough to match Sandor Clegane and with a booming voice to go with it, he has a lined face, grey hair, bushy brows over slate-grey eyes and gnarled hands. He keeps a suit of bronze armour said to be carved with runes that ward him from harm. He is fiercely loyal to House Arryn and, for all his years, a formidable fighter: stopping at Winterfell on the road north with his youngest son, who had chosen to join the Night's Watch, he took a turn in the yard and bested both Eddard Stark and Ser Rodrik Cassel. He rode in the tourney at Harrenhal, where Prince Rhaegar Targaryen unhorsed him, and at Lannisport, where Ser Jorah Mormont did.
