Victarion Greyjoy

Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet, Victarion Greyjoy commands the war strength of the Iron Islands from the deck of his flagship, the Iron Victory. He is a younger brother of Lord Balon Greyjoy, elder brother of the priest Aeron, and uncle to Theon and Asha, a huge, dark-haired man who goes to battle in full plate with a kraken helm and a long axe in his hands. On the water he is held the equal of any captain alive; ashore he is slower, a plain, devout man of the Old Way who prays to the Drowned God, mistrusts cleverness, and does what his elder brother bids. Among the ironborn, who measure men by their ships and their daring, Victarion's name carries real weight.
