A land in the far east, cut off from Asshai and the Shadow Lands by the Saffron Straits.
The Saffron Straits separate Ulthos from Asshai and the Shadow Lands, and link the Jade Sea to seas further east that no map has yet reached. Only the extreme northern coast of Ulthos has been charted, and even that is thin on detail: a large river emptying into the Jade Sea, and dark forest covering much of the surrounding land. The mapped stretch runs just over a thousand miles.
