Eldest son of Lord Gerold Lannister and elder twin to Ser Tion.
Lord Gerold Lannister and Rohanne Webber had twin sons, and Ser Tywald was the elder of the two, his brother being Ser Tion. In his youth Tywald was betrothed to Ellyn Reyne, the only daughter of Lord Robert Reyne, and squired for Lord Robert, while his twin squired for Prince Aegon Targaryen. He fought for King Maekar I Targaryen in the Peake Uprising.
