Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion Lannister is the dwarf son of the rich and powerful Lannisters of Casterly Rock in A Game of Thrones, brother to Queen Cersei and Ser Jaime, a sharp-tongued and bookish man traveling north with the royal party.
First met in A Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister is the dwarf son of the wealthy Lannisters of Casterly Rock, the richest house in the Seven Kingdoms. He is brother to Queen Cersei, King Robert's wife, and to Ser Jaime Lannister of the Kingsguard. Born stunted in a family of tall golden siblings, Tyrion has made weapons of the things he can carry: a sharp tongue, a love of books, and a habit of seeing people exactly as they are. He drinks more than he should and jokes about it before anyone else can. When the royal party travels north Tyrion rides along with it, curious to see Winterfell and the Wall at the edge of the world.
