Thoros of Myr is a red priest of R'hllor, the Lord of Light, come to Westeros out of the Free City of Myr as a younger son with little to inherit at home. Tall, fat and bald, he goes about in loose robes, drinks more than a priest should and wears his office lightly, though his faith is real enough. He is a dangerous man in a melee, where he fights with a flaming sword.
