The last daughter of an ancient Valyrian family fallen into poverty, Serenei of Lys became the ninth and final mistress of King Aegon IV Targaryen. Her exact appearance is not recorded, but a great many held her the most beautiful of all his mistresses. She was cold and haughty with the court in return, and rumour followed her about her true age and about the practice of dark arts. She and Aegon had one child together, Shiera Seastar.
