Selyse Florent

Selyse Baratheon, born of House Florent, is the wife of Lord Stannis Baratheon of Dragonstone. They were wed around 287 AC and the match is a cold one, with little patience on either side, and their only child is a daughter, Shireen, whose face is marked by greyscale. Selyse stands as tall as her husband and is thin, with the large Florent ears, pale eyes, a sharp nose, hair upon her upper lip, a stern mouth and a voice like a whip. She is harsh, blunt and unsparing, contemptuous even of her daughter, and she never troubles to hide her disapproval of anyone. Her devotion to R'hllor, the Lord of Light, is absolute, and she holds the red priestess Melisandre in reverence, taking her word for truth in all things.
