Seagard
Seat of House Mallister on the Ironman's Bay, raised to guard the Riverlands against ironborn reavers.
Seagard is the castle and town that serve as the seat of House Mallister, whose lord is Jason Mallister, and it is described in A Clash of Kings. It stands on the western coast of Westeros along the Ironman's Bay, south of the Cape of Eagles, with the Twins the nearest great castle to it. Its Booming Tower holds a great bell, rung to call the townsfolk inside the walls when ironborn sails are sighted, for Seagard was raised to shield the Riverlands from reavers. It did not stop the Iron King Harwyn Hardhand, who landed his longships south of it and made war on the Storm King Arrec Durrandon. During the Greyjoy Rebellion the ironborn under Rodrik Greyjoy came against Seagard and were driven off by Lord Jason.
