Riverrun
Riverrun is House Tully's castle on the Red Fork, far to the south of Winterfell, where Catelyn Stark is born and where she and her sister are wed in the castle sept.
Where the Tumblestone runs into the Red Fork, Riverrun stands as the seat of House Tully, and it is the childhood home of Catelyn Stark. The castle is a three-sided stronghold with rivers on two faces and a wide dug ditch on the third; in times of danger its sluice gates can be opened to flood the moat and turn Riverrun into an island, all but unassailable. Its lord is Hoster Tully, Lord Paramount of the Trident, father of Catelyn, of Lysa Arryn, and of his heir Edmure. Boats pass from the river directly into the castle through its Water Gate. The Tully words are Family, Duty, Honor, and the riverlords of the Trident are sworn to Riverrun.
