Raventree Hall is the seat of House Blackwood, standing in the Riverlands north of Riverrun and west of the town of Fairmarket, and it is named in A Game of Thrones. Its lord is Tytos Blackwood, and his eldest son Brynden is the heir. A huge dead weirwood stands at the centre of its godswood, and each night thousands of ravens settle on the bare branches, which gives the castle its name and House Blackwood its sigil. The Blackwoods came south after the ancient Kings of Winter drove them out of the North, and they hold that House Bracken poisoned the tree centuries ago.
