Otho Bracken is a member of House Bracken, a noble family of the Riverlands, and he is called the Brute of the Bracken. He earned the name at a tourney in King's Landing, where he killed Lord Quentyn Blackwood with a blunted longaxe, striking so hard that he stove in the visor of the helm and the face behind it. The old feud between Bracken and Blackwood caught fire again over it.
