The only daughter of Viserys II, sister to Aegon the Unworthy and to Aemon the Dragonknight, and wed to the first of them at her father's command.
Queen Naerys Targaryen was the only daughter of King Viserys II and the sister of two very different brothers: Aegon, who would rule as Aegon IV, and Aemon, called the Dragonknight. She was small, slight and pale almost to translucency, so frail that ordinary effort taxed her, and so devout that she would have taken vows as a septa had her father allowed it. She loved music and poetry, played the harp well, sewed, and dressed plainly, seldom troubling to wear her crown. In 153 AC her father married her to Aegon. Their son Daeron was born at the close of that same year, and the birth came near to killing her.
