At the tourney at Ashford Meadow, Medgar Tully was drawn against Ser Humfrey Hardyng. He went out of the saddle on the second lance and was beaten with swords after. Medgar was head of House Tully and Lord of Riverrun in the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen, and he did not live long past the tourney: by 211 AC the house was headed by a boy of eight years.
