Among the longships gathered at Lordsport, some sails show Harlaw's silver scythe. When Theon comes home, his priest uncle tells him that his lady mother has gone to Harlaw to stay with her own sister, since the air there is gentler than on Pyke and she suffers from a cough. The island lies only a day's sail away, and Harlaws from Harlaw sit among the lords and captains at Lord Balon's feast.
