Gregor Clegane is the knight called the Mountain That Rides, a solitary man who seldom leaves his own lands except for wars and tourneys.
Ser Gregor Clegane stands well over seven feet tall and close to eight, bigger than any man Eddard Stark has ever seen. His shoulders are massive and his arms are like the trunks of young trees. Mounted, he makes his destrier look like a pony, and the lance in his hand looks no bigger than a broom handle.
Dark things are said of him in whispers, never within his hearing. His keep is said to be a grim place where even the dogs are afraid to go into the hall.
