The largest and westernmost of the Iron Islands, home to Houses Goodbrother, Merlyn and Farwynd.
Great Wyk is the largest of the Iron Islands and, apart from Lonely Light, the westernmost, lying west of Harlaw and Old Wyk and northwest of Pyke; it figures in A Feast for Crows. Its chief landmark is the range called the Hardstone Hills, and Houses Goodbrother, Merlyn and Farwynd hold lands there. The first sept raised anywhere in the Iron Islands stood on Great Wyk in the days of King Wulfgar Hoare.
