King Garth, called Garth the Gardener, founded House Gardener and was the first King of the Reach in the Age of Heroes. He was born to Garth Greenhand, the High King of the First Men. Where his brothers and sisters founded houses with sigils of their own, Garth took his father's personal sigil, a green hand on a white field. The tales credit him with raising Highgarden on a hill above the Mander.
