The Eyrie is the castle of the Lords of the Eyrie, whose banners bear the moon and falcon.
At the Eyrie, Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon grew up together as wards of Lord Jon Arryn, who became like a second father to them both. The king remembers those as good years.
Lady Lysa Arryn has carried her son back to the Eyrie against the king's wishes, slipping away in the dead of night. The boy, Robert Arryn, is six and sickly, and already Lord of the Eyrie. Catelyn Stark wishes her sister had gone to Riverrun instead, since in her eyes the place was always Lord Jon's more than Lysa's.
