Son of King Urras Greyiron, who seized his father's crown without a Kingsmoot and was unmade for it at Old Wyk.
Erich was the son of King Urras Greyiron, and on his father's death he took the crown and named himself High King of the Iron Islands. The priest Galon Whitestaff rose in a fury and called him an unlawful king, since no Kingsmoot had chosen him. The captains and kings summoned Erich to Old Wyk, unmade him and condemned him to death, and he escaped that end by casting the crown into the sea.
