Princess Elaena Targaryen was the youngest child of King Aegon III and Queen Daenaera Velaryon, born in 150 AC, sister to Daeron I and Baelor I and to the princesses Daena and Rhaena. She was no great beauty as a girl, a skinny thing at eleven, with soft lilac eyes and a thin mouth that was often angry, and hair of platinum white with a bright gold streak down the middle that nobody else in her house had. She wore it long and braided and was told constantly that it was the best thing about her. As a child she dressed in black because her sister Daena did. Her dearest possession was a dragon's egg whose stony shell showed the colours of her hair.
