Daemon Blackfyre

Daemon Blackfyre, born Daemon Waters around 170 AC, was the eldest bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryen by his cousin Daena, and his story is set down in The World of Ice and Fire. He had a purer Valyrian look than his half-siblings: long silver-gold hair, deep purple eyes, clean-shaven and uncommonly handsome. He was exceptionally strong, athletic and charming and chivalrous besides, making friends without effort. At twelve he bested every squire in the melee at a tourney, and his father acknowledged him before the court, knighted him and gave him the ancestral Valyrian sword of House Targaryen, from which he took his name. Urged on by his half-brother Aegor Rivers, called Bittersteel, and by Ser Quentyn Ball, called Fireball, he raised his banner against his half-brother Daeron II, and near half the realm answered him.
