Eldest son of Lord Rickon Stark, he comes into his lordship at thirteen, in the year 121 after the Conquest, while his uncle Bennard rules the North as regent; when the regency lingers past his coming of age, Cregan takes the rule of the North into his own hands. He grows into a stern, hard-handed lord in the old northern mold, a friend to the Night's Watch as Starks have ever been, and a man whose word, once given, does not bend.
