Prince Baelor Targaryen, called Baelor Breakspear, was the eldest son and heir of King Daeron II and Princess Myriah Martell, born around 169 AC and named for Baelor the Blessed. He took after his mother in looks, dark haired where his father's house ran silver, and wore his hair short and his jaw shaved. Where Daeron was a scholar, Baelor was a soldier, renowned with sword and lance, and he led men in the First Blackfyre Rebellion, striking the last blow of the Redgrass Field into the rebel rear. His father afterwards made him Hand of the King. Men called him the soul of chivalry. He had two sons, Valarr and Matarys.
