Alyssa Velaryon

Alyssa Velaryon stands near the center of House Targaryen's stormy second generation, and her life is chronicled in Fire and Blood, the history of the dynasty. Daughter of Lord Aethon Velaryon of Driftmark, of a house of old Valyrian blood long bound to the Targaryens, she weds Prince Aenys, the Conqueror's heir, and is crowned queen beside him when he follows his father to the Iron Throne. Their marriage is counted happy and fruitful, and six children are born to them, among them Jaehaerys and Alysanne, two names that loom large in the dynasty's story.
