Alysanne Targaryen, remembered as Good Queen Alysanne, is queen to Jaehaerys the Conciliator, called the Old King for his long reign, and a dragonrider who flies her Silverwing north to the Wall.
Bored while the king confers with his Warden at Winterfell, she flies off to see the Wall, and a village where she spends a night paints its holdfast gold in memory of her crown, giving it the name Queenscrown. She finds the Night's Watch so brave that she has the Old King double their lands to fifty leagues, the grant known as the New Gift, and the castle of Snowgate becomes Queensgate in her honor.
