Alysanne Targaryen

Good Queen Alysanne, as the realm remembers her, is queen consort to her brother King Jaehaerys I, and her life is chronicled in Fire and Blood, the history of House Targaryen. A dragonrider from girlhood, she flies Silverwing to the far corners of the Seven Kingdoms, from Oldtown to the Wall, and sees more of the realm than most kings ever do. She is her husband's closest counselor as much as his queen: the abolition of the lord's right of the first night is her doing, and when the bravery of the Night's Watch moves her at the Wall, she persuades Jaehaerys to enlarge the Watch's lands with the grant men call the New Gift. A fine archer and hunter in her youth, warm where the Old King is grave, she presides with Jaehaerys over the longest peace the Seven Kingdoms have known.
