Aegon I Targaryen, the Conqueror, is the dragonlord whose conquest of the Seven Kingdoms of old fills the chronicles, and Viserys hails Khal Drogo as Aegon the Dragonlord come again.
Daenerys counts herself of his blood and seed, and her house's custom of brother marrying sister goes back to the day he took his own sisters as brides. With those sisters he loosed three great dragons, Balerion, Meraxes and Vhaghar, on the old kingdoms. At the battle singers call the Field of Fire, his host breaks before two kings until the dragons join the fight, and near four thousand men burn.
