The Winter Solstice is a holiday of the Fae centered on the longest night, when its ceremonies carry them from one year into the next.

The Winter Solstice lasts three days at the Spring Court, filled with feasting, drinking and the exchange of small presents, while evergreen wreaths and garlands adorn the manor and its grounds. One ceremony, at sunset, opens a night of presents, dancing and drinking held to honor the old sun's death. The festival culminates in a long ceremony atop the foothills, as the sun is born anew.

The Fae debate whether the Solstice comes from the Winter Court or the Day Court, and both claim it as their holiest holiday.
