The Children of the Blessed are a group of fanatical mortals that worship faeries, especially the High Fae.

The Children of the Blessed turn up in the village on market day, young men and women with long, uncut hair who ring silver bells and step in front of anyone trying to pass. They greet people with a blessing of the Immortal Light and ask whether they have a moment to spare for the Word of the Blessed. One of them, a young woman in pale robes, wears a bracelet of real silver bells, and her dark hair is unbound. The village elders usually let the group stay only a few hours, and even so their presence puts people on edge.

Some mortals cross the wall into Prythian as willing tributes from the Children, and like those who are stolen, none of them come back. The Children never deign to acknowledge the lethal side of Prythian, the creatures that slip through rifts in the warded wall to torment humans.
