Cassian (pronounced: Cas-e-an) is an Illyrian member of the Night Court and part of Rhysand's Inner Circle.
Cassian is a soldier by trade, and his rank of General Commander places him at the head of every army the Night Court fields. His strength is counted alongside that of Rhysand and Azriel, the two friends of his childhood, among the greatest any Illyrian has shown in Prythian's history.
