Adriata
Adriata is one of the four main cities of the Summer Court and its capital where the palace of the High Lord, Tarquin is located.
Adriata stands on an island, a castle-city whose waters are crowded with ships. Merchant vessels and fishing boats sail among ferries that carry people across to the mainland, where the sloping shores are crammed with buildings and people of their own.
From a high balcony of the palace, the red roofs of the city's fine houses lie a hundred feet below, and a pair of doors made of sea glass opens onto its shining halls. Beyond the palace, the city has streets and docks, shops and houses, and bridges.
